What is Functional Medicine?

Functional medicine looks beyond symptoms to find the root causes of chronic health issues.

It explores connections between digestion, nutrition, inflammation, and stress, with a special focus on the gut-brain connection. Because the gut and brain communicate closely, gut imbalances can affect mood, focus, sleep, and behavior. Care plans may include nutrition changes, sleep and stress support, supplements when appropriate, homeopathic medicine and traditional medical treatments. Functional medicine works alongside regular pediatric care to help families understand what’s contributing to their child’s ongoing health challenges and how to support overall well-being.

Functional medicine appointments and testing are fee-for-service. We do not accept insurance for these services.
